Weird War One is an eccentric collection of the cool, the weird, and the just plain hilarious aspects of the First World War. The book covers everything you could imagine, from wooden tanks to Casper the friendly ghost masks! Just like Weird War Two, Weird War One takes a much needed break from the dense monotone of most history books by showing the reader just how weird war can get. They say necessity is the mother of invention, but after reading this book, you'll see that it is also the mother of hilarity!
Weird War One covers a topic many history books today seem to skim over. Due to the massive impact of the Second World War, World War One is often skimmed over, talked about as a lesser conflict deserving less attention. That is most definitely not the case, in my opinion. And after reading this book, you will want to dive in and do your own research into WWI, especially to learn about just how many of these crazy contraptions actually worked.
To sum things up, Weird War One is an entertaining read that will keep you coming back for more time and again. The book covers every aspect of the war one could think of, from the food rationing alternatives on the home front, to the “creative” camouflage on the Western front, there’s something for everyone here. This book is ideal for those looking to get started in learning about this conflict, especially those who prefer the more lighthearted side of things.

Whoa! How could those men lift a tank like that?! Read Weird War One and find out!
